Classroom Training
Classroom training will be at least a state mandated 4 hours. The CHL 16 Texas Concealed Handgun manual from the state will be provided for your use during class. If you wish to purchase the manual from us the cost will be $5. Classroom time will cover the following topics.
Immediately following the class room training there will be a 25 question multiple choice test. You must score at least a 70% on this test to pass. This test is easily passed if you paid attention in class.
FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY DO NOT BRING ANY GUNS, LOADED OR UNLOADED, INTO THE CLASSROOM
- Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force
- Handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters and methods to ensure the secure carrying of openly carried handguns
- Non-violent dispute resolution
- Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child

Shooting Qualification
Shooting qualification will be conducted at a range near the classroom. A fee of $15 will be charged and collected by the range to use their facilities and targets. Qualification will consist of the following course of fire.
You must score at least 175 points out of a possible 250 points to pass the shooting qualification.

Handgun requirements
The state mandates that the handgun you use to qualify with be at least a .32 caliber or higher, semi-automatic or revolvers can be used.
- 20 rounds fired at 3 yards
- 20 rounds fired at 7 yards
- 10 rounds fired at 15 yards
You must score at least 175 points out of a possible 250 points to pass the shooting qualification.
